Here at Oscar James, Northamptonshire’s newest and most innovative estate agents, we do things a bit differently.
Our three offices – in Kettering, Northampton and Burton Latimer – look very different from your average estate agent’s office. In fact, they look more like coffee shops, with inviting soft seating areas, exposed brick and wooden interiors, and a casual vibe.
Our unique offices aim to make the home moving process – an often daunting and intimidating experience – more relaxed, which is why we create comfortable environments that people actively want to visit.
We’re also always looking to innovate and improve our offerings, which is why we are on a recruitment drive for people to push a fresh approach to estate agency.
We require the best possible people to work for us, to ensure our levels of service are kept consistent and of the highest quality across the board. For that to be the case, and for this new venture to be successful, we need driven, hungry and passionate individuals.
Preferably you’ll have experience in the industry (but it’s not necessarily essential) and you’ll also be willing to work on a self-employed basis.
As a self-employed person working for Oscar James, you will be given exclusivity to an agreed area with an agreed threshold of listings per month to continue to secure ‘this patch’ as your own.
In addition, you will be responsible for canvassing and door knocking to win extra business for Oscar James. Once you have generated valuation opportunities, it will be down to you to conduct valuations to pitch to win the business.
It’s important to remember that we are not an online agency, relying purely on local property experts or self-employed people to carry out work. We have three established and well-regarded offices in Northamptonshire which currently operate on a traditional estate agency basis.
We also have a team of negotiators, valuers and branch managers, offering fantastic office back-up to those who require it. But we also seek to move with the times, evolving and adapting to the new. So we aim to do things slightly differently, with innovative approaches to getting homes sold.
Which is why we have branched out into this new way of doing things, where people operating under the Oscar James name are attached to an agreed area and responsible for drumming up extra interest in our services.
Although listings are secured in a different way, our offices will treat them as if they’ve been generated at branch level. As such, they will generate and accompany viewings, provide the necessary feedback and negotiate on sales.
What’s more, the valuer (you) will have access to our in-house professional photographer, while all listings would be marketed online with ‘premium Rightmove listings’.
In effect, what we’re after is a team of hungry people who are willing to pound the streets of Northamptonshire to generate valuations and new business. However, this comes with the benefits of flexible hours, the ability to work from home and the chance to be your own boss.
Payment will work on a sliding commission structure, based on uncapped listing thresholds. With this in mind, the potential is there to easily earn £50,000 or more. So, what are you waiting for?
